What will I do with my pasty Irish skin NOW???? Prior to the Senate's historically unprecedented passage of its hysterical health bill on Christmas Eve (despite those Republican Scrooges) a debate emerged over funding of said bill. The original plan called for taxing Botox injections. Those who can afford Botox injections can certainly afford to pay for their poor neighbor's health care, right? Of course, this clause did not take into account that some people use Botox as a way to mitigate migraines. But that was no matter regarding the grey matter. The real outcry came from the chick crowd. Most Botox users are middle aged women so this was essentially a tax on females. That's sexist! That won't do! After all, we women make so much less than our male counterpart of the species (Waaaahhhhh... why oh why did I decide to become a teacher, nurse, day care provider or librarian?) so it is inherently unfair to tax the one thing that makes us happy - Botox. And tampons. Did the tampon tax stick? Like a maxipad? I'll be sure to find out as I haven't quite arrived at "the change" yet. Anyhow, cooler heads prevailed (efforts presumably led by Miss Botox America herself Nancy Pelosi wink wink) and the Botox tax was eliminated in favor of a 10% tax on tanning services. So, instead of unfairly taxing the fairer sex, we will now be taxing the fairer fairer sex. Right. White chicks! You heard me - the middle aged woman's tax has now been transformed into a young white woman's tax. Young women who can't even get jobs in this economy! Join with me American white women! This is a clear violation of our ever-eroding Constitutional rights. Stand up to this unfair tanning tax that only impacts 25% of the population subtracted from which are the actual users of tanning salons. I mean, my gosh. We're just trying to be treated equally but now it seems we are being singled out based on our skin color! And that's the word of the day - WOTDO
